The Division of Macromolecular Chemistry is organizing the young investigator workshop
After a positive evaluation, twelve people are usually invited to the workshop for young investigators. Due to the pandemic, the next workshop will not take place in 2021, but only in the second quarter of 2022 at ALTANA in Wesel. Participation in the workshop is linked to the fact that a permanent position has not yet been started. Among the participants, the sponsor(s) of the Reimund Stadler Prize 2021 endowed with 5000 euros will be determined (awarded during the division conference 2022 in Aachen); in addition, up to two junior scholarships of 1000 euros each are awarded. The division bears the costs for participation in the workshop. A panel of experts appointed by the board decides on the invitation to participate in the workshop and the award of the prizes.
Nomination / Application
Both nominations by the scientific supervisor and applications are possible. All proposed persons or applicants should be close to completing their habilitation, junior professorship or scholarship. A second nomination / application is possible if no invitation to participate in the workshop was issued the first time. All proposals contain the following documents:
- Appreciation of the work by the scientific supervision,
- Curriculum Vitae (including contact information),
- Short description of research topics
- Publication list (without poster and lectures), naming the five most important publications and
- Information to third-party funding (third party agency, duration, amount of funding, main or co-applicant)
Please send all applications and nominations electronically and summarized in a PDF file to the GDCh office for the attention of Maike Fries (firstname.lastname@example.org).
