The Division of Macromolecular Chemistry is organizing the young investigator workshop

The Division of Macromolecular Chemistry of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) usually organizes the young investigator workshop for young scientists in uneven years, during which young scientists (habilitation / junior professorship / scholarship) can present themselves and their independent research - evidenced by scientific publications and third-party funds.

After a positive evaluation, twelve people are usually invited to the workshop for young investigators. Due to the pandemic, the next workshop will not take place in 2021, but only in the second quarter of 2022 at ALTANA in Wesel. Participation in the workshop is linked to the fact that a permanent position has not yet been started. Among the participants, the sponsor(s) of the Reimund Stadler Prize 2021 endowed with 5000 euros will be determined (awarded during the division conference 2022 in Aachen); in addition, up to two junior scholarships of 1000 euros each are awarded. The division bears the costs for participation in the workshop. A panel of experts appointed by the board decides on the invitation to participate in the workshop and the award of the prizes.

Nomination / Application
Both nominations by the scientific supervisor and applications are possible. All proposed persons or applicants should be close to completing their habilitation, junior professorship or scholarship.
